“Swarm Raid” from THE COLONY is featured in the digital and print publication becoming-Feral, a curated collection of over 80 international contributors that offers a “prismatic and multifaceted perspective on our understandings of other-animals and their ‘wildness’ through the re-imagined form of a bestiarum vocabulum (book of beasts).” More details here.

The Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research (KLI) presents an online screening of The Colony accompanied by behind-the-scenes insights and discussion with The Colony composer, co-writer, animator, and performer Anna Lindemann and soprano and performer Lucy Fitz Gibbon. They will be joined by KLI fellow and myrmecologist (ant scientist) Alice Laciny. The KLI is an independent center of advanced studies in the life and sustainability sciences based in Klosterneuburg, Austria.

The Colony received a Science New Wave Honorable Mention at the 13th Annual Imagine Science Film Festival. The Science New Wave Award recognizes feature films that propose bold, singular and oftentimes hybrid ways to communicate science. These films are considered to be visionary and outside of the (science) box.

Imagine Science Film Festival is dedicated to pushing science narrative boundaries and embracing the Science New Wave. This year’s festival explores the theme “MIGRATION” and features over 80 films from over 25 countries.
